Caloundra has holiday parks, high-rise resorts and a lot of look-alike units. This is the other option: one privately owned two-bedroom apartment at the town end of Bulcock Street, booked directly with the people who own it.
Where you actually are
The apartment sits at 111 Bulcock Street, which puts you at the calm end of Caloundra. Bulcock Beach and the Pumicestone Passage boardwalk are a two-minute walk downhill. Kings Beach - the patrolled surf beach with the ocean pool - is about eight minutes on foot along the coastal path.
The whole of Bulcock Street is at your door: bakeries, the Sunday street fair, the pub, a dozen cafés and restaurants, the chemist and a supermarket. You can park the car on arrival and not touch it until you leave.
What makes it different to a resort room
A resort room gives you a bed. This gives you a home base: a separate lounge, a proper kitchen so you are not eating out three times a day, a laundry so you pack lighter, and two bedrooms so people can go to sleep at different times.
The building facilities are the part most people underestimate - the rooftop heated pool, spa and sauna look over the Passage to Bribie Island, and the gym means you can keep a routine on holiday.

Booking direct instead of through a platform
Booking through this site skips the platform service fee, which on a week-long stay is usually the difference between three and four nights of savings. You send a request with your dates, we confirm availability against the live calendar, and you pay by Australian bank transfer.
There is no instant-book gimmick and no dynamic pricing engine - rates follow published seasonal rules, so a Tuesday in March costs the same whether you look today or in six months.
